- 12 oz. pasta (penne or fettuccine)
- 1 lb. large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp. Cajun seasoning
- 3 tbsp. unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Toss shrimp with Cajun seasoning and a pinch of salt.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook shrimp for 2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter. Sauté garlic, bell peppers, and onion until softened.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce thickens.
- Add cooked pasta and shrimp to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust Cajun seasoning to control the spiciness.
- Use fresh shrimp for the best texture.
- Add more broth if the sauce is too thick.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
