- 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 8 slices provolone cheese
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add onions and peppers, cook until softened.
- Add sliced steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
- Divide the steak mixture into four portions in the skillet.
- Place 2 slices of provolone cheese on each portion, let melt.
- Scoop each portion into a hoagie roll and serve immediately.
Notes
- Use a sharp knife or ask your butcher to slice the steak thinly.
- You can substitute provolone with Cheez Whiz or American cheese.
- Toast the hoagie rolls for extra crunch.
