Ingredients

- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp ginger, minced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 3 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- Slice flank steak into thin strips and coat with cornstarch.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat and cook beef until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté ginger and garlic for 30 seconds.
- Add soy sauce, water, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes. Stir until sugar dissolves.
- Return beef to the pan and simmer until sauce thickens.
- Garnish with green onions before serving.
Notes
- Slice beef against the grain for tenderness.
- Adjust red pepper flakes for desired spiciness.
- Serve over steamed rice.
