Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • 1 cup cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and black pepper. Add beef and marinate for 30 minutes.
  2. Combine rice vinegar and sugar in a bowl. Add carrots and cucumber, then let sit for 15 minutes.
  3. Cook beef in a pan over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until done.
  4. Assemble bowls with rice, beef, and pickled veggies. Top with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

  • Thinly slice the beef for best results.
  • Marinate longer for deeper flavor.
  • Use leftover rice if available.
