- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup carrots, julienned
- 1 cup cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and black pepper. Add beef and marinate for 30 minutes.
- Combine rice vinegar and sugar in a bowl. Add carrots and cucumber, then let sit for 15 minutes.
- Cook beef in a pan over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until done.
- Assemble bowls with rice, beef, and pickled veggies. Top with sesame seeds and green onions.
Notes
- Thinly slice the beef for best results.
- Marinate longer for deeper flavor.
- Use leftover rice if available.
