- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 cup diced onions
- 1 cup diced bell peppers
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
Instructions
- Brown the ground turkey in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Transfer the turkey to a slow cooker.
- Add beans, tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, garlic, and spices to the slow cooker.
- Pour in the chicken broth and stir well.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Stir and serve hot with optional toppings like shredded cheese, sour cream, or cilantro.
Notes
- For extra heat, add diced jalapeños or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- This chili freezes well for up to 3 months.
- Substitute ground beef or chicken if preferred.
