- 4 medium apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Add the melted butter and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until crumbly.
- Place the sliced apples in a baking dish and sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- You can use any type of apple for this recipe, but Granny Smith apples work particularly well.
- Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for extra indulgence.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
