  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken fillets
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pound chicken fillets to 1/2-inch thickness.
  3. Mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.
  4. Beat eggs in another shallow dish.
  5. Place flour in a third shallow dish.
  6. Coat chicken in flour, dip in eggs, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.
  7. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  8. Cook chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  9. Place chicken in a baking dish.
  10. Top with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  11. Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
