Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup diced onions (optional)
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add taco seasoning and water as per packet instructions. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Heat a clean skillet over medium heat and lightly oil it.
  4. Place a tortilla in the skillet. Sprinkle half with cheese, add beef mixture, then top with more cheese.
  5. Fold the tortilla in half and press gently. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  6. Repeat with remaining tortillas. Slice into wedges and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use pre-shredded cheese for convenience.
  • Add salsa, sour cream, or guacamole for extra flavor.
