Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- Slice the flank steak thinly against the grain.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, and sesame oil to make the sauce.
- Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a pan over high heat and stir-fry the beef for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from pan.
- Add the remaining oil to the pan and sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
- Add broccoli and stir-fry for 2 minutes, then add water and cover to steam for 2 more minutes.
- Return the beef to the pan, add the sauce, and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until everything is coated and heated through.
- Serve hot with rice.
Notes
- Slice beef while slightly frozen for thinner cuts.
- Adjust sauce thickness with water if needed.
- Substitute broccoli with other vegetables if preferred.
