Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
Instructions
- Slice beef against the grain into thin strips.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and cornstarch to make the sauce.
- Heat oil in a pan over high heat. Add beef and stir-fry for 2 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Add more oil to the pan if needed. Stir-fry garlic for 30 seconds, then add broccoli and cook for 3 minutes.
- Return beef to the pan. Pour in the sauce and water. Stir-fry for 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Serve hot over rice.
Notes
- Slice beef while partially frozen for easier cutting.
- Blanch broccoli for 1 minute if you prefer softer texture.
- Substitute oyster sauce with hoisin sauce if needed.
